Germany Opportunity Card (Chancenkarte)
Two Ways to Qualify for the Chancenkarte
You only need to satisfy one of these two routes to obtain the visa.
Recognized Skilled Professional
If you hold a university degree or vocational qualification that is fully recognized in Germany (anabin H+ rating or ZAB Statement of Comparability), you qualify directly without needing to calculate points.
- Full anabin H+ university & degree equivalence
- Proof of secure livelihood (€1,091/month)
Points-Based Qualification
If your qualification is not fully recognized in Germany, you must hold a 2+ year state-recognized degree/diploma, speak at least A1 German OR B2 English, and score 6+ points across language, age, and experience.
- Minimum A1 German or B2 English baseline
- Reach at least 6 points on official matrix below
